The real Messiah- Jesus Christ, came around 2,000 years ago, died for the world, resurrected and ascended back to Heaven. Israel failed to recognize Him during that time and instead rejected Him. Christ will return again after the Tribulation to bring judgment, justice and establish God's Kingdom. However, during the time in between, false messiahs and false prophets will arise, especially the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Now things are shaping up for Israel to be deceived by the Antichrist to be their Messiah (false Messiah). Israel will be looking for someone (just like in Jesus' time) who will give them peace, prosperity, political freedom and power more than the much needed spiritual redemption and transformation. Christ came to offer spiritual redemption and transformation, but Israel rejected that. They wanted a king who would make them into a nation again. God promised that He would make them into a nation again, but God wanted to teach them that their spiritual condition was what destroyed them as a nation in the first place and this is what needed to be addressed instead of directly making them into a nation again, only to continue in their wickedness without any change. It's the same today with all groups of people. People want God for worldly success (and there are many who do evil and then claim that God has given them success and thus they have favor in God's eye, when they don't realize that God Himself has put them on a slippery slope of destruction, which can happen at any moment). Many people don't want God's offer and way of spiritual success/transformation today. They gauge their lives by worldly success and standards instead of spiritual success/standards- and that is what will deceive them into their eventual destruction. What's a disgrace is that carnal Christians today are guilty of these things. They use the wrong parameters to test if they are in the faith and ready for eternal life.
The Antichrist will be someone who will be able to give a temporary period of peace, prosperity, freedom and power to Israel. Israel will accept this narcissistic sociopath disguised as a charismatic, charming, peace loving leader. 2,000 years ago, they rejected their true King. The Tribulation will teach them their erroneous ways and then a remnant will seek and find God and subsequently be delivered by Him.
Matthew 23:37-39 (NLT):
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. 38 And now, look, your house is abandoned and desolate. 39 For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
Zechariah 12:10-14 (NLT):
“Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died. 11 The sorrow and mourning in Jerusalem on that day will be like the great mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddo.
12 “All Israel will mourn, each clan by itself, and with the husbands separate from their wives. The clan of David will mourn alone, as will the clan of Nathan, 13 the clan of Levi, and the clan of Shimei. 14 Each of the surviving clans from Judah will mourn separately, and with the husbands separate from their wives."
John 19:33-37 (NLT):
"But when they came to Jesus, they saw that he was already dead, so they didn’t break his legs. 34 One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out. 35 (This report is from an eyewitness giving an accurate account. He speaks the truth so that you also may continue to believe.) 36 These things happened in fulfillment of the Scriptures that say, “Not one of his bones will be broken,” 37 and “They will look on the one they pierced.”
Perhaps, the Antichrist will come soon to make way for the Temple to be rebuilt with a peace treaty, only to betray them later in order to take control of the rebuilt Temple and establish himself and deceive people to think that he is God.
Matthew 24:23-31 (NLT):
“Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. 25 See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.
26 “So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! 27 For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes. 28 Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near.
29 “Immediately after the anguish of those days,
the sun will be darkened,
the moon will give no light,
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
30 And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven."
May the Name of the Lord be blessed. May the Name of His Son, Yeshua HaMaschiach (Jesus Christ) be blessed. May the Lord bless Abraham and his descendants- Israel. For through them, the entire world has been blessed- i.e. Jesus Christ was born in the blood line of Israel to become the world's Savior. May Israel realize that truth and blessing in the coming days- for it is the key to their salvation.
